Don Memo Mexican Restaurant opened in the summer of 2008 by owner Leo Saavedra. Leo grew up in the state of Guerrero, Mexico and his concept was to open an authentic taco truck like the many found on the streets of his home. In 2006, Leo opened his truck "Tacos Don Memo" located on 38th Street between Walnut & Sansom Streets on Philadelphia’s University of Pennsylvania campus. Due to the popularity of the taco truck and the high demand, Leo opened Don Memo Mexican Restaurant located in Upper Darby. This restaurant offers an expanded menu with a wide variety of authentic Mexican cuisine.
